Wuthering Heights (Norton Critical Edition)

Wuthering Heights - Richard J. Dunn, Emily Brontë Heathcliff, how do I hate you, let me count the ways...Actually let's not because it just depresses me.It's not that I think Emily Bronte is a horrible writer, or that there's not plenty of meat here to put upon the table and discuss the hell out of (and have a lot of fun with too!). It's just that I really didn't like any of these characters, and in fact actively hated Heathcliff and Cathy, for the selfish, childish figures that they were. So yes, not going to be a book that I liked, enjoyed, or really want to reread. Discuss, sure, no problem there. But I had just as much a problem in high school, college, and now with the idea that either of our main characters are in any way swoon-worthy romantics. Perhaps if you're a bit of a masochist/sadist, but then that's another conversation!
