Listening to Authors of the Classics
Thanks to a link on the Dear Author daily news page, I've been listening to this article:
19 Rare Recordings of Famous Authors
Joy Lanzendorfer, Mental Floss, June 4, 2014
Audio via YouTube, for the authors Hemmingway, JRR Tolkien, Raymond Chandler (and Ian Flemming), Sylvia Plath, Walt Whitman, Langston Hughes, Virginia Woolf, F. Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald, Edna St. Vincent Millay, John Steinbeck, Flannery O'Connor, Alfred Lord Tennyson, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, JM Barrie, Arthur Miller, Vladimir Nabokov, William Faulkner, Jack Kerouac
I've spend a good chunk of time listening to the YouTube 4-part audio of Ian Flemming and Raymond Chandler having a conversation about thrillers and reading. Dunno how the others sound - yet! - but I enjoyed the Flemming/Chandler discussion.
